Business Of The Year

 

The business of the year award is presented to a member of the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce at our annual meeting held in November.  The Board of Directors will accept all nominations and all members will be requested to  vote.   Any chamber member may make a nomination and votes are cast by U.S. mail in October.  The following criteria should be considered when choosing a nomination.

  • Nominated Businesses MUST be a member of the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce

  • Please think about the places you like to do business, why are they good for Fremont, what sets them apart from their competitors.

  • Does your choice support the community through charitable contributions and volunteering to help at events?

  • You can make a nomination for any reason.  Name of the nominator will be confidential.  Your reasoning will be provided in print word for word.

2008 Business of the Year

 

This year the FACC had an unusual occurrence.  We had a tie for the nomination between Northbound Trail Convenience Center and Riversong Studio.  Let’s give these two businesses a big hand!

 

Northbound Trail Convenience Center


Shannon Tews is the owner of Northbound Trail Convenience Center.  Shannon first opened his convenience store in Fremont in May of 2005.


Northbound Trail is known for its great line up of food.  They have everything you need for a great breakfast, a quick lunch, and a great pizza or chicken dinner at night.  They even deliver their fabulous pizza on weekends!


In addition, Northbound Trail serves a complete line of high quality gasoline and diesel fuel products, as well as an entire store full of grocery items, candy, snacks, frozen ice creams, sodas, beer, and liquor.

Riversong Studio


Riversong Studio, owned by Kevin and Leslie Hildebrandt, is a small home and garden shop located on Highway H (south) in Fremont.  

During the growing season, the property is filled with the colorful sights and sounds of the garden.  We offer perennials, bedding annuals and gorgeous hanging baskets and garden decor completes the outdoor selection.  

 

Inside the store, we refresh for each season with home accents and interesting gifts such as Tyler Candles, funky jewelry, Wisconsin wines, dishware, florals, and framed prints so there is always something new to capture your interest.
